50th Annual Troy Flag Day Parade Steps Off This Sunday

Considered one of the biggest in the nation Troy's Annual Flag Day Parade celebrates it's 50th Anniversary this weekend!

If you are looking for something fun to do with the whole family this weekend and would like to get out and show your patriotic spirit and respect for the American Flag at the same time one of if not the biggest Flag Day parades in the nation is happening right here in the Capital Region!

This year the annual Troy Flag Day Parade is celebrating a pretty big milestone, 50 years of flag day parades! The celebration goes down this Sunday with the parade kicking off at 1pm. The parade will head down 4th St, at the intersection of 1st and Main St., through to the reviewing stand at Franklin Plaza, and end at the Green Island Bridge on Federal Street in Downtown Troy.

Lots of spectators are expected to be out for this one so you might want to get out a little early to stake out some prime real estate to check out the over 60 local organizations that will be marching this weekend!
