A Royal Baby – Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Expecting First Child
As we speak, I'm sure officials are turning one of its many rooms into a nursery, as Britain's favorite married couple announced they are expecting their first bundle of joy!
ABC News, among many others, confirm this morning that the Dutch and Dutchess of Cambridge are expecting their first child. The palace released an official statement this morning.
Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.
There has been much speculation that Kate was sporting a baby bump lately, fueled by pictures of her wearing looser clothing then normal - just like the picture below from an event on November 30, 2012.
I'm sure that the palace would have wanted to keep it a secret as long as possible, pending any unfortunate circumstances, but Kate was rushed to the hospital this morning with a bad case of morning sickness. She was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital tin London with 'hyperemesis gravidarum' an acute morning sickness which requires supplementary hydration and nutrients, the palace said. The official statement commented on her trip to the hospital to keep people from worrying.
As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.
The baby will be the third great grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II, and will undoubtedly be in line to be the future King or Queen! So now, we're ready for Royal Baby Watch 2013. Congrats to Wills and Kate!
