It Doesn’t Have to be Tuesday to Enjoy Taco’s Especially When It’s #NationalTacoDay
Looks like Tacos just moved up the list for tonight’s dinner plans!
Not that they are ever really that far down on the list to begin with. Let’ be honest you can never go wrong with tacos.
NationalTacoDay.com says that,
The word taco is the Mexican equivalent of the English word sandwich. The tortilla, which is made of corn or wheat, is wrapped or folded around a filling that is generally made of spiced proteins – beef, pork or fish.
Except I feel like there are so many more variations of tacos than there are sandwiches. Hard or soft shell, corn or flour, carnitas (pork), pollo (chicken), carne asada (steak), ground beef, shredded beef, shredded chicken, veggie, rolled tacos, taco salad I mean I could go on. You can have tacos for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even as a snack! Don’t even get me started on all the added toppings.
Don’t get me wrong I love me a good sandwich but I think I may just have tacos on the brain. The best part about National Taco Day is that there are a ton of killer taco spots in the Capital Region to appease your appetite.
Also, I’m not sure exactly how National Taco Day and National Vodka Day happen to fall on the same day, but it does. Maybe try them together? I could be an interesting change of pace from your usual taco and tequila.
So get yourself some tacos today and celebrate accordingly!
