The truck of missing West Sand Lake resident Ryan Patton has been found badly burned in Nassau this morning with a body inside the vehicle.

WTEN has confirmed that a body was found in East Nassau earlier today inside a truck found on a logging trail by a hunter this morning of Hayes Road. The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office confirm it matches the registration of the West Sand Lake resident that was reported missing on Monday, November 19th.

A body was found in the driver's seat of the burned out vehicle, and is believed to be Patton.

Ryan's family and friends had been continuously searching for him along with the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s department since he went missing. They had even established a blog called Bring Ryan Home to help coordinate search efforts. The last blog entry was added this morning.

AT THIS TIME, THE SEARCH FOR RYAN PATTON HAS BEEN CALLED OFF. WE'D LIKE TO THANK EACH AND EVERY PERSON THAT HAS ASSISTED IN OUR SEARCH FOR RYAN.

We will keep you updated as more information is announced. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
