Last summer peeps from downstate came up in droves to lend a helping hand to our neighbors in Schoharie after flood waters obliterated their sleepy town after Hurricane Irene blew through.

A year later, those same people who welcomed Irene help are heading down to help others affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The beauty of this? So many people want to help that residents have to plan another trip. Pretty amazing, if you ask me!
