As terrible news struck two communities in the Albany area, the Shenendehowa and Shaker School Districts have come together to remember two lost young souls, and support the two survivors of the crash through their recoveries.

Tragedy struck two Capital District communities after learning of a horrible car crash that took place on Saturday night on the Northway, killing two teens and badly injuring two others.

Facebook pages were created in memory of Deanna Rivers and Chris Stewart. Both pages have over 6,500 likes in under 24 hours, and many memories and well wishes have been left by friends, family, loved ones, members of the communities, and even those that did not know the students.

Students wore green in support of the students today (Shen's colors) and plan to wear blue tomorrow (Shaker colors).

There will be a candlelight vigil tomorrow, Tuesday, December 4th, at 6:30pm at the Shenendehowa High School Athletic Stadium to honor the lives of Chris Stewart and Deanna Rivers and to offer support for Matt Hardy and Bailey Wind.

Chris' wake will be at Corpus Christi Church corner Rte 9 and Ushers Road from 4-8pm Friday. Mass will be at 11am Saturday morning at Corpus Christi. All are invited to gather in the Church after mass.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Chris and Deanna's familes, friends, loved ones and fellow students during this time. We're also keeping positive thoughts for Matt and Bailey.
