Several new shopping and dining options are coming to North Greenbush following Sunday's Grand Opening of the new 55,000-square foot Shop Rite.

This weekend the first business opened in the long awaited development of Van Rensselaer Square on the corner of US 4 and NY RT. 43 in North Greenbush.

Sunday was the Grand Opening of the all new 55,000-square foot Shop Rite in the newly developed Van Rensselaer Square which according to a press release aims to offer customers,

A full-service supermarket featuring a broad array of groceries containing both private label items and national brands, daily deliveries of fresh produce – with a large variety of conventional and organic produce from both around the corner and the world – and a range of locally sourced products.

If you didn't get a chance to visit during the Grand Opening some of the features you can expect from the new location include a from-scratch fresh bake shop, a produce department that includes locally grown products, a seafood department that has fresh seafood delivered daily, a meat department that offers a variety of organic and natural selections, grass fed offerings, ready to cook signature items and simply sourced products including a new Local Beef Program and plus so much more! I mean, just look at the all the cheese offerings!

While the new grocery store is impressive it's not the only new business opening in Van Rensselaer Square. According to WYNT Michael's, TJ Maxx, Five Below, Chili's and another restaurant yet to be named are scheduled to neighbor the new Shop Rite in the near future.
