NBC’s singing competition ‘The Voice’ took an interesting turn when two contestants performed Nirvana‘s ‘In Utero’ classic ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ in a head-to-head elimination battle on the show.

Javier Colon, honestly, it almost wasn’t fair to have this guy compete against the others. First, because his voice is simply one of the smoothest voices you’ve ever heard. And second, this guy has already had a record deal. He was actually a member of The Derek Trucks Band between 2000-2002 before leaving to start a solo career

I kind of forgot how good Train was until I saw Patrick Monahan sing with Vicci Martinez on The Voice last week.

This lady will blow you away! I have never seen someone filled with so much nervous energy, and yet so talented at the same time. Really, this one might make your eyes water a bit. It's so unbelievable to hear this incredibly big and beautiful voice come out of this little woman.

You’re missing out if you haven’t been watching The Voice. Yes, it’s similar to American Idol, but it has some very different twists and all in all is a much cooler show if you ask me.

Other than ‘Harder to Breathe’ Maroon 5 doesn’t really do much for me. But like many of the coaches on ‘The Voice’, I’ve found some new appreciation for him from watching the show.

There is a lot of reality type contest shows on TV right now, and I think The Voice is a new take on the whole genre.
